Work in progress from Crete

Greetings from Crete, we’ve been very busy in our first week here after relocating from the UK and I’ve not had too much spare time, enough to do an inventory of stuff already shipped and to start two new projects.

The first is the Forgeworld Dreadnought Drop Pod this is a large model and is going to requir a lot of work to get it right, so far I’ve cleaned up the moldings and am currently trying to straighten the fins, they were very warped, once that’s done I’ll undercoat the part’s seperatly and put it to one side ’till the crates arrive with my compressor and spray guns – then I can base coat each part prior to detailing.

The other project started is the Space Hulk Librarian, I’m drafting this figure into my Ultramarines:-

Cleaned, assembled and undercoated so far, more pics as I progress.

I also plan to continue painting my ‘Battle of Five Armies’ armies, LotR in 10mm great fun.

more from Crete soon.

  1. That was quick. Thought it might of taken a little longer before the painting began and you are making me look and feel bad as I spend another night on the X-box.

I have over the weekend based some more guard ready for an undercoat. Now if would only stop raining so I can spray them.

I have got the air battle pics of the camera and will get them up as soon as I can when I remember how the battle went.

    Good to hear for you.

  2. I try to get in an hour a day after all the work is done, this retirement lark is hard work, It’s hard to fit everything into a day, but we’re told once we settle in we’ll be able to take it easy (more painting! 😀 )
